Sophomore (2018): Had one pinch-hit appearance vs. Texas A&M. 

Freshman (2017): Hit a three-run HR at Central Florida on opening weekend to put the Wildcats ahead 5-3 at the time to score the game-winning runs of the contest … Is a pure power hitter that will be brought in during pinch-hitting situations when Coach Lawson wants power. 

Marietta, Ga., native Kierston Moore joins Kentucky as a decorated dual-sport athlete who has been a standout in both softball and basketball at Sprayberry High School in the Peach State. Moore in her senior year alone hit at a .549 clip in 29 games, with four homers and 16 RBI. She holds the school record in virtually every statistical category, including average (.505), runs scored (85), hits (108), RBIs (60), doubles (24), homers (14), walks (69), on-base percentage (.625), slugging percentage (.832) and OPS (1.457).

Moore went 8-for-11 in the postseason with her high school in the four games that they played, with a homer, two doubles and five walks. Moore has also been great in the classroom, earning scholar athlete every year that she has been with the team. The infielder was All-Region 7AAAAA all three years, won the 2013 Silver Slugger award, in 2014 was named Second Team All-County, and was named to the 2015 Georgia Dugout Club Fastpitch All-State game.  Moore in addition won a swing-off at the Georgia Dugout Club Fastpitch All-State Game Home Run Derby, with 22 homers, setting a new record. She plans on majoring in biology and working with animals when her softball career comes to a close.
