LEXINGTON ? Kentucky senior striker Riley O?Neill has been named to the collegesoccernews.com National Team of the Week while also earning Conference USA Player of the Week honors after scoring four goals in UK?s two wins over the weekend.

O?Neill, a Campbell River, British Columbia, native, registered his first career hat trick ? and just the sixth in school history ? in the Wildcats 3-0 win over Florida Atlantic on Friday night. He followed that performance by tallying the game-winning goal in Saturday?s 2-1 victory over UW-Green Bay.

O?Neill shared Conference USA Offensive Player of the Week honors with SMU?s Leone Cruz. It is the first time a UK player has won a weekly award in Conference USA after joining the league last year.

With four goals, O?Neill has already matched his total from all of last season when he led the team in scoring. He now has 15 goals in his career, which rank seventh in UK history. His seven game winners are fifth best in school annals.

O?Neill and Kentucky return to action on Wednesday when they travel to rival Louisville for a 7 p.m. kick off. The Wildcats have won four straight in the series and will be looking to start 3-0 for the first time since 2003.
