LEXINGTON ? The Kentucky women?s tennis team?s 2006 recruiting class has been tabbed as the fourth best in the nation by tennisrecruiting.net, it was announced Tuesday.

The class includes three players for the 2008 season as well as one that joined the Wildcats this January and is already competing for the Wildcats. German native Sarah Woestmann has already made an immediate impact, going 4-0 in dual matches including back-to-back 6-0, 6-0 victories last weekend. She reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 204 this past November.

Kentucky also inked three players for the 2008 season, Megan Broderick, Alaina Trgovich and Lauren Meier. Broderick and Trgovich are both top 50 recruits according to the website, ranking 26th and 48th, respectively. Meier rounds up the class coming in at No. 81 according to tennisrecruiting.net after being as high as 36th earlier in the year.

Southern Cal hauled in the top class according to the rankings with Duke second and Arizona State third. In the SEC, only Tennessee (ninth) and Vanderbilt (23rd) ranked in the top 25 with Kentucky.
