Rivals.com Tabs Four Wildcats on Power Rankings

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. — Off to the hottest start in the nation, the No. 2 Kentucky baseball team had four members named to the latest weekly positional power rankings, released by Rivals.com.

Kentucky (18-0, 3-0 Southeastern Conference) head coach John Cohen was tabbed as the No. 15 head coach in the nation after guiding UK to 96 wins in the past 133 games.

UK outfielders Sawyer Carroll and Collin Cowgill made the list of the top outfielders in the nation, with Carroll checking in as the No. 1 outfielder in the nation for the second consecutive week. Cowgill was ranked as the No. 15 outfielder after batting .388 with five homers, 21 RBI and 11 stolen bases in the first 18 games of the season. Carroll leads the SEC in nearly every offensive category, hitting for a .532 average, with seven homers, 32 RBI and 17 walks.

On the mound, right hander Scott Green ranks as the No. 13 pitcher in college baseball. Green has worked in four games, tossing 22 innings and striking out 33.
