Sun Belt Conference Tournament Kicks off at The Bell Sunday
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 2 Kentucky men’s soccer team (11-0-5, 5-0-3 Sun Belt) will begin its postseason at the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Sunday facing South Carolina (5-7-4, 1-4-3 Sun Belt) at the Wendell & Vickie Bell Soccer Complex for a 7 p.m. EST match.
The defending Sun Belt Conference Regular Season Champions will host a quarterfinal and semifinal round with West Virginia University and Coastal Carolina starting the day with a 3 p.m. EST kickoff followed by Kentucky and South Carolina. The winners of each match will go head-to-head on Wednesday.
Marshall University, ranked second in the conference, will also be a host site for the first round of play hosting Georgia State, James Madison University and Old Dominion.
The Wildcats enter the postseason with an undefeated regular season record for the first time in program history. UK holds the top spot in the conference earning the regular season title for the first time as a Sun Belt affiliate and first time since the 2018 season. Kentucky won the C-USA Conference Tournament last season.
The Wildcats and Gamecocks hold an 11-7-4 all-time series record with the last meeting resulting in a 3-0 Wildcat win in Columbia, S.C. last Tuesday.
Kentucky is one of three teams still undefeated in NCAA Division I men’s soccer and look to continue the unbeaten run with Sunday’s quarterfinal match.
All tickets must be purchased in advance and all seating is general admission. Following the conclusion of Sunday’s quarterfinals, tickets will be made available for Wednesday’s semifinal. A full schedule of games is below.
Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for youth (non-student ages 3-18) and $5 for senior citizens (65+). Children 2 and under will be admitted free of charge as will all Sun Belt Conference students who show a valid university issued ID. All tickets will be mobile.
