Emma Grome Named SEC Setter of the Week

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky Volleyball sophomore setter Emma Grome was named the Southeastern Conference’s setter of the week, the league office announced Monday afternoon. For Grome, it is her second SEC setter of the week award of the year.

Grome logged 11.75 assists per set this week with 49 assists at Mizzou in Kentucky’s SEC road-opening win, and 45 assists in UK’s 3-1 win vs. Alabama. Grome was one dig away from a double-double on Wednesday as she added nine digs to go alongside her 49 assists, while also recording a season-high four blocks in the match in Columbia.

Grome had three kills in both matches and her 45 assists on Saturday afternoon versus the Tide helped UK hit .323 for the match as the Wildcats were paced to a .300 mark as a team for the week.

Kentucky plays at Arkansas this weekend in a two-match series on Friday at 8 p.m. ET and Saturday at 6 p.m. ET with both games on SEC Network+.
