The University of Kentucky athletics has enjoyed tremendous success over the past years. Much of this success can be attributed to the athletes, coaches, and administration, who strive to make the University of Kentucky the model athletics program nationally, both on and off the field of competition. However, another key component to UK’s success has been the unfaltering support of the UK alumni, donors and friends of the athletic program.
The commitment to excellence by the entire UK athletics family must be a priority in all aspects of the program. This commitment includes knowing and complying with NCAA rules. Everyone involved in UK’s athletics program are responsible to know the rules and recognize this responsibility as a team effort. Integrity, tradition and values are qualities in which the University of Kentucky athletics have been identified by friends and foe alike. We want to continue our winning ways, but at the University of Kentucky, it is important to win the right way…by following the rules.
The following information has been compiled to help all supporters of Wildcat athletics better understand the rules that govern the Southeastern Conference and the University of Kentucky.
