Phil DePase came to Kentucky in August 2016 from the University of Maryland. He was promoted to Director of Player Development in summer 2018 and in his current role he manages the team’s video analysis software and handles day-to-day video needs.
A native of Elkton, Md., DePase attended the University of Maryland, where in 2016 he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. While at Maryland, DePase was a student manager for the Maryland baseball program, earning the athletic department’s Jack Heise Manager of the Year award his senior year.
Upon graduation, DePase was the Director of Baseball Operations at Cecil College in North East, Md., where he oversaw and coordinated the day-to-day needs and operations of the program. Prior to that, DePase interned at Ripken Baseball in Aberdeen, Md. as a baseball operations intern for their youth programs.
