School record holder – 4×800 Relay (outdoor), 800 meters

2003: Outdoor – Ran a seasonal best time of 1:48.94 in the 800 meters at the Sea Ray Relays… Was a member of the 4×800 relay that broke the school record and placed third at the Penn Relays. Indoor – Earned his second All-American honor with his 11th place showing in the 800 meters at the NCAA Championships… Earned All-SEC honors by running on the Distance Medley Relay that placed 2nd at the SEC Championships… Set the Rod McCravy Memorial Record in the 800 meters with his winning time of 1:48.63. Cross Country – Used a red-shirt season.

2002: Outdoor – Ran a season-best 1:48.85 at the SEC Championships to advance to the finals, placing eighth… Was third in the 1,500 meters at the Gatorade Classic. Indoor – Hampered with a quad injury for much of the season, ran a season-best time of 1:53.21 for the 800 meters at the Cyclone Classic… Cross Country -Opened the season with a third-place finish at the Woodford County Trials with a time of 16:10.30 in the 5K race…Finished 12th at the Loyola Lakeshore Invitational with a time of 25:49.00 in the 8K run.

2001: Outdoor – Sat out season as a redshirt. Indoor – Ran a personal-best 1:47.93, the fifth fastest time by an American during indoor season, in the 800 meters to finish second at the SEC Championships and automatically qualify for the NCAA Championship…Member of second-place SEC distance-medley relay team which advanced to the NCAA meet and finished seventh to earn All-America honors and broke school record at the NCAA Championship… At the SEC Quad Meet, ran a personal-best 4:17.14 mile.

High School: Was the Footlocker National Scholastics 800-meter champion as a junior with a time of 1:50.73… Ran a 1:51.68 to win the 800 meters at the USA Junior National Championships… Kentucky Class 3A 800-meter champion as a junior and senior… Also won state 400-meter title during senior season… Ranked second indoors and fifth outdoors in the 800 meters by Track & Field News… Five-time first-team All-State… Also played basketball.

Personal: Born Oct. 17, 1981… Parents are Kathryn and Sidney Doaty… Major is kinesiology.
