• A two-way player at running back and linebacker for head coach Trevin Pendleton at Ironton High School for three seasons
• Played freshman season at Mize High School in Smith County, Mississippi before moving to Ironton, Ohio
Earned both OHSAA All-State and OHSAA All-District honors after totaling 1,063 rushing yards and 21 touchdowns out of the backfield for 126 points
• Averaged 6.3 yards per carry
• Defensively, totaled 56 total tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss and 3.0 sacks as a linebacker
• Helped lead Ironton to the Division V state football championship as a senior in 2022
• Charted 152 yards and scored three of the final four touchdowns for Ironton in the win in the 2022 state semifinal game
• Ran for over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior on just 94 carries, averaging nearly 11.5 yards per carry
