Cross Country – Crossed the finish line in 16:30.10 at the Belmont Opener 5K… Ran for the Wildcats in the Belmont Opener for second consecutive year… Set personal-best 8K time at Greater Louisville meet with a time of 26:20.05… Competed at SEC Cross Country Championship 8K for the first time in his career, and finished 92ndat 26:22.43.

2011-12 (Freshman)
Outdoor –Competed at 1,500 meters and in the 3,000-meter steeplechase … 1,500M collegiate-best 4:01.52 came at the Polytan Invitational … Steeplechase collegiate best 9:33.45 was recorded at the Kentuckiana Border Battle.

Indoor– Competed in the mile as well as at 3,000 meters … Mile PR 4:20.50 came at Spire Invitational … 3K season best 8:42.39.

Cross Country –Competed in two events as a freshman … Finished 19th at the Belmont-VU Opener after finishing the 5K in 16:02.54 … His time at the Belmont-VU Opener was the fifth best 5K time on the year for Kentucky … Completed the 8K at the Tennessee Invitational in 26:33.80.

A versatile runner, Jared competed in the 4×400-meter relay, 800m run, 1,600m run and 3,200m run, in addition to cross country … Was an All-State performer in cross country in 2009, in the 3,200m run in 2010 and in the 800m run in 2011 … Named All-Midstate in 2007, 2009 and 2010 in cross country, and was named all-midstate in track in 2010 … Made the All-Region team in cross country in 2007, 2009-10 and in track from 2008-11 … Section track champion in the 800m in 2011 … Regional champion in cross country in 2010, 3,200m run in 2011, 4x800m relay in 2009-10, and 800m run in 2010-11 … AP Scholar award winner as a junior … AP Statistics award winner as a senior … Nathan Stephens Memorial Scholarship Award Recipient as a senior … Participated in Habitat for Humanity and various other service projects with his church’s youth group … Member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, First Priority … Renaissance, New Vision Baptist High School Ministry and S.A.V.E.
