BIO
  • Started at Kentucky as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football in 2019.
  • Prior to becoming full time, spent two years at Kentucky as an intern in the football weight room learning under Corey Edmond (director of performance) and Mark Hill (director of performance and head strength and conditioning coach).
  • Also spent a season as a student strength and conditioning coach for women’s basketball and football at his alma mater, Eastern Kentucky.
  • Certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, and has an AED/CPR certification.
  • Three-year letter winner as a tight end at EKU from 2013-17 under then-head coach Dean Hood.
  • Two-time Colonel Scholar, given to athletes with a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Was a spring qualifier in the Covert Barbell Olympic Lifting competition in 2017.
  • Traveled to Jacmel, Haiti in 2013 and 2015 with select members of the EKU football team to volunteer and help build houses for homeless children as part of a the Hands and Feet Project.
  • Graduated from EKU in 2017 with a degree in sports management.
  • Earned a master’s degree in sport leadership at UK in December of 2022.
  • A native of Indianapolis, played three positions in high school, including tight end, offensive tackle, and defensive end at Franklin Central.
  • Earned the team’s Most Valuable Player award as a senior.
  • Named All-Conference and All-County honorable mention as a junior offensive tackle.
  • Also played on the basketball team.
  • Married to Amber Murray, a former softball student-athlete at EKU and the couple has two sons, Griffin and Carter, and a daughter, Maizie.
