BIO

Brandon Schnapp is in his first season at Kentucky as an offensive graduate assistant. He works closely with wide receivers coach Joe Price III and offensive coordinator Joe Sloan.

Schnapp comes to the Bluegrass after serving as a student coach at LSU from 2021-25, where he was mentored by Sloan, then the offensive coordinator for the Tigers. Schnapp played a role in helping produce two Biletnikoff semifinalists in Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr. He also assisted in the development of multiple receivers who reached the NFL ranks, including Nabers, Thomas, Kayshon Boutte, Kyren Lacy, Aaron Anderson, Chris Hilton and Zavion Thomas.

In 2025, he was part of an LSU team that ranked No. 2 in the SEC and No. 7 nationally in passing offense, averaging 315.2 yards per game. Overall, the Tigers, led by first-year starting quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, ranked fifth in the SEC and No. 25 nationally in total offense at 431.5 yards per game.

In 2024, he helped LSU to a 9-4 overall record, including a Texas Bowl victory over Baylor. The Tigers ranked No. 7 nationally in passing offense, averaging 315.2 yards per game, while finishing 5-3 in SEC play. Nussmeier threw for 4,052 yards, the second-highest single-season total in LSU history and among the top 10 single-season marks in SEC history.

Schnapp was witness to college football’s No. 1 offense in 2023, which was led by Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels. The Tigers averaged 543.5 yards and 45.5 points per game and finished No. 1 nationally in both categories.

The wide receiver tandem of Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., whom Schnapp helped coach, played a major role in that success, combining for 157 receptions, 2,746 receiving yards and 31 receiving touchdowns. Nabers recorded an SEC-high 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and led the FBS in receiving yards per game (120.7), plays of 20-plus yards (34) and 30-plus yards (17). He finished second nationally in total receiving yards and third nationally in receiving touchdowns (14).

Thomas added 68 passes for 1,177 yards, the 10th-highest single-season total in LSU history, and led the nation with 17 receiving touchdowns. It marked the first time in program history that two wide receivers on the same team led the nation in receiving yards per game and receiving touchdowns in the same season.

In 2022, Schnapp was a part of one of the most productive offenses in school history, as LSU racked up 6,344 total yards (third-highest total in school history) and 3,770 passing yards (fourth-highest total in school history).

A native of Huntington Station, New York, Schnapp was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and graduated from LSU in 2025 with a degree in sports administration.
