Men’s Golf to Host Cullan Brown Collegiate at Lexington Country Club

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky men’s golf team is set to host the third annual Cullan Brown Collegiate this Monday and Tuesday at Lexington Country Club (par 71, 7255 yards).

The 54-hole tournament will feature 15 teams and a total field of 88 golfers. Rounds one and two will be played on Monday, beginning with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Round three will be held on Tuesday, also commencing with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.

The event is open to the public with free admission. Fans can also follow live scoring on the Scoreboard Powered by Clippd website.

The Wildcats competed at the Windon Memorial Classic last week, tying for ninth at 8-over par. UK posted its best team round of the season in the final round with a 6-under par total. All four counting scores in the final round came in at par-or-better for the Cats. Junior Jacob Lang tied for sixth individually at 3-under par, marking his best result this season and the third top 10 finish of his college career.

This week’s starting lineup will feature the same five golfers for the Wildcats as at the Windon with Lang joined by Cole Stockard, Gabriel Hull, Cameron Phillips and Jacob Settles.

The remaining three players on Kentucky’s roster – Gavin Clutts, Luke Coyle and Bradford Lacefield – will all compete as individuals.

UK’s starters will be paired with Cincinnati, Mississippi State and Tennessee for rounds one and two, with players starting on hole Nos. 1-4. The Kentucky individuals will begin their days on hole Nos. 16-18.

The Wildcats have finished third (2024) and second (2025) in the first two additions of the Cullan Brown Collegiate. Last year, Stockard was the individual champion in the weather-shortened event, finishing with a 36-hole total of 6-under par.

About the Cullan Brown Collegiate

The Cullan Brown Collegiate was started in 2024 in honor of former Kentucky men’s golfer, Cullan Brown who tragically lost his battle with Osteosarcoma in 2020. A native of Eddyville, Kentucky, Brown was an All-Southeastern Conference Freshman Team selection in 2019, producing a 72.42 scoring average across eight events. He posted four top 20 finishes, including a T9 result at the SEC Championship. Brown is survived by his parents Rodney and Emily, along with his sister Cathryn, a current member of the Kentucky women’s golf team.
