LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s soccer team (5-3-0, 1-0-0 SEC) is set to travel to Columbia, Mo., for a road match against SEC opponent Missouri (3-4-1, 0-1-0 SEC) on Friday, Sept. 18 at the Audrey J. Walton Soccer Stadium. The matchup will begin at 7:00 p.m. ET and will be available to stream on the SEC Network +.
The Tigers own the all-time series record against the Wildcats, going 9-5-2 throughout the team’s history. The two squads last met on Sept. 21, 2025, when Kentucky defeated Missouri 1-0 at the Bell. The Wildcats have either won or tied in the past four meetings with the conference foe.
Entering Friday’s matchup, the Wildcats have earned a 5-3-0 record on the season, including a 1-0 mark in SEC play. The team is searching for its first 2-0 start in conference matches since 2015, a feat the program has only had four times before.
Last time out, Kentucky defended its home field and defeated Texas A&M 3-2 on Friday, Sept. 11. The three Wildcat goals came from Juliette Rayo, Sydney Arendarczyk and Kendall Campbell. A critical save by Megan Holland in the 86th minute prevented the Aggies from finding the equalizer.
Freshman Kyla Dawn currently leads the SEC in shot accuracy (8th NCAA, 0.722). The Dallas native heads the team in overall points (18), goals (8), assists (2) and shots on goal (12), ranking among the best in the country through eight games.
So far this campaign, the Wildcats have been an offensive force, totaling 31 goals on 141 shots. Kentucky leads the conference in scoring offense (3.88), good for third in the nation. The squad also ranks in the top-10 nationally in four other key categories: total goals (2nd SEC, 3rd NCAA, 31), points per game (3rd SEC, 9th NCAA, 9.75), goal differential (3rd SEC, 9th NCAA, 20) and total points (3rd SEC, 10th NCAA, 78).
The Tigers have a record of 3-4-1 entering Friday’s battle. Most recently, Missouri fell in its first SEC match of the season to an undefeated Oklahoma, 3-1. Junior Emily Derucki scored the lone goal for the Tigers.
