Kentucky STUNT to Compete in National Tournament
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky STUNT team will play in the Division I College STUNT Nationals this weekend at Allen Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Kentucky (29-2) plays at 10 a.m. on Friday against Cal Poly, a team the Cats beat 30-14 earlier this season. UK has finished as Division I runner-up the last three seasons and the Cats are the second seed going into the tournament this year.
The double-elimination tournament continues through Sunday. Kentucky and Cal Poly join California Baptist, Missouri State and Mercyhurst in the bracket.
STUNT is a head-to-head competition between two teams that focuses on the technical and athletic aspects of cheer. It is one of the fastest-growing female sports in the United States and will have NCAA championship status in 2027.
