Kentucky Cross Country Set for Start of Postseason at SEC Championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats are set to move into the postseason portion of the 2025 season schedule, opening with the SEC Championships tomorrow morning in Knoxville, Tenn. at the UT XC Course at Cherokee Farm.
The Wildcats completed competition at their fourth race of the season on Oct. 17 at the Pre-National Invitational in Columbia, Mo., finishing 10th in the women’s 6k event with 330 total points and 14th in the men’s 8k with 314 points. Freshman Doricah Minsari Isoe, for the second consecutive meet, placed inside the top 20 by finishing 16th in the women’s 6k event with a season-best time of 19:55.7. In her first collegiate race, Minsari Isoe finished 10th in the 6k race with a 20:42.2 time at the Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 26.
17 Wildcats will be making the trip to Knoxville for this week’s conference championships, including Janet Jepkemboi Amimo, Noel Barlette, Morgan Dick, Elly Heine, Ava Hendren, Minsari Isoe, Ally Kruger and Lyric Olson on the women’s side and Alex Alston, Levi Kipkurui Bachi, Nicola Baiocchi, Ed Bird, Miles Brush, Lincoln Herald, Collins Kiprop Kipngok, Caden Miracle and Eyan Turk for the men’s team.
The 2025 SEC Cross Country Championships are scheduled to kickoff tomorrow morning at 10:08 a.m. ET with the men’s 8k race, followed by the women’s 6k event at 10:53 a.m. ET.
