Wildcats Host No. 20 Indiana in Non-Conference Finale

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats (6-1-3, 3-1-0 SBC) are set to face their second consecutive top 20 opponent in a meeting with the 20th-ranked Indiana Hoosiers (8-3-1, 3-3-0 BIG Ten) in the non-conference finale at The Bell on Tuesday night.

The 19th-ranked Wildcats enter matchweek nine of the 2025 season with an overall record of 6-1-3 and 3-1-0 in Sun Belt Conference play. The Cats currently sit in a share of second place in the SBC with Marshall on nine points from three wins, trailing leaders West Virginia with 12 points from four wins.

Kentucky will look to return to the win column on Tuesday night against the Hoosiers following a 4-1 loss in Huntington, W.Va. to No. 17 Marshall on Friday night, their first loss of the 2025 season.

2025 Sun Belt Preseason Goalkeeper of the Year, Sebastian Conlon, was recently named to the Hermann Award Midseason Watchlist following his impressive form through the first ten games of the season, including five clean sheets, which is tied for the most in the SBC and 22nd in the NCAA, and 24 total saves.

Kentucky is still led by leading goalscorer Alex Ruiz in all of the major offensive stat categories with six goals, three assists, 15 points, 23 shots and 12 shots on goal, all of which ranks inside the top 10 in the Sun Belt.

Indiana travels to Lexington to face the Wildcats, coming off a 4-2 win over Ohio State in Bloomington last week, improving the Hoosiers overall record to 8-3-1 on the season. Indiana currently ranks fifth in the Big Ten standings with nine points from six games, trailing first-place Washington, as well as Maryland, Rutgers and UCLA.

The Hoosiers are led on the offensive end by senior forward Palmer Ault with a team-high nine goals, five assists and 23 points in 12 appearances, which ranks eighth among the NCAA’s top goalscorers. The Hoosiers also feature three players with three goals each on the season in Collins Oduro, Jacopo Fedrizzi and Easton Bogard.

Kickoff for Kentucky vs. Indiana is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, streaming on ESPN+. Tomorrow night’s promotional theme is youth camp reunion night, inviting all UK men’s soccer youth and ID campers to return to The Bell and show their support of the Wildcats.
