Oakley Gee Represents Men’s Golf on SEC Community Service Team

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Oakley Gee, a redshirt sophomore on the Kentucky men’s golf team, was announced on Friday as Kentucky’s representative on the Southeastern Conference Men’s Golf Community Service Team.

Gee has capitalized on his time at Kentucky by serving in several leadership roles and participating in numerous volunteer opportunities. He serves on the leadership team for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at UK which has led him to speaking with and mentoring local elementary school students. Gee has also helped with food packing for the non-profit, Lifeline Christian Mission and volunteered his time at DanceBlue, a 24-hour dance marathon at UK that raises funds and awareness for pediatric cancer. Additionally, Gee serves as the men’s golf team representative on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, which seeks to ensure UK Athletics provides each sport and every student-athlete with a quality environment and the essentials to be competitive as a student-athlete and a team.

On the course, Gee appeared in three events this season for the Wildcats, posting a 75.22 scoring average. He tied for 33rd at the inaugural Cullan Brown Collegiate this past fall at Lexington Country Club. For his college career, Gee owns a 74.06 scoring average and has posted seven rounds of par-or-better while at UK. He notched his best collegiate finish when he tied for third at the Indy at Forest Hills in September of 2023, finishing at 1-over par.

Gee is a native of Carmi, Illinois and is a double major in management and finance at the University of Kentucky.
