Kentucky STUNT Tops Maryville on Saturday

CONWAY, Ark. – The Kentucky STUNT team completed play in the Central Arkansas Tournament on Saturday by beating Maryville 21-5.

Kentucky started quickly once again, winning all four points in the first quarter, partner stunts. The Cats would win the first point of the second quarter, pyramids and tosses, before the teams tied on the second routine. UK claimed the final two points of the quarter and led 8-1 at halftime.

In the third quarter, jumps and tumbling, Kentucky won the first two points before Maryville won third. UK claimed the final point of the period and the Cats led 11-2 after three quarters. In the fourth quarter, team routine, Kentucky won 10 points while Maryville claimed three, providing the final margin of victory.

The Cats are now 14-0 this season, marking both the best start to a season in program history and the longest win streak in the program’s four-year existence.

Kentucky returns to action on Wednesday in California, where the Cats will face Vanguard (9 p.m. ET) and Concordia Irvine (10:30 p.m. ET).
