Team Records and Series Information

  • Kentucky is now 4-7 on the season, 1-7 in SEC play, Texas now is 10-1 overall and 6-1 in SEC play.
  • Texas leads the series 2-0, both games having been played in Austin, Texas.

 

Next Game

  • Kentucky will host Louisville on Saturday, Nov. 30 in its regular-season finale. Kickoff is set for Noon ET on the SEC Network.

  • Kentucky had two fumble recoveries today, continuing its streak of earning at least one turnover in each game this season for 15 takeaways in 2024.
    • In the third quarter, Tre’vonn Rybka caused a fumble that was recovered by Deone Walker.
    • Also in the third quarter, Octavious Oxendine caused a fumble that Jamon Dumas-Johnson plucked out of the air and raced 25 yards for a touchdown.
  • Offensively, UK was led by freshmen in rushing, receiving and passing yards.

 

Player Notes

  • QB Cutter Boley completed a career-high-tying 10 passes on a career-high 18 pass attempts and a career-high 160 yards.
    • He logged a career-long, 43-yard pass on his first attempt of the game.
  • QB Brock Vandagriff completed three of seven pass attempt for 51 yards and one touchdown.
  • RB Jamarion Wilcox rushed a team-high 11 times for a team-high 50 yards, the third consecutive game he has led the Wildcats in rushing.
  • RB Demie Sumo-Kangbaye carried nine times for 30 yards.
    • He has 978, needing just 22 more yards for 1,000 career yards.
  • TE Josh Kattus caught a four-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to tie the game at 7-7.
    • It marked his second touchdown reception of the season and third total touchdown as he also recovered a fumble at Ole Miss for the game-winning score.
  • TE Willie Rodriguez had a team-high-tying and a career-high three receptions for a team-high and career-high 53 yards.
    • He tied his career long on a 25-yard catch in the third quarter.
  • WR Dane Key had a team-high-tying three receptions for 29 yards.
    • For his career, he has 126 receptions – 13th in program history – for 1,870 yards – fifth in program history.
    • He has made at least one catch in 19 straight games, dating back to his sophomore season in 2023
  • WR Barion Brown had one catch for 43 yards.
    • He has 120 career receptions, moving into a tie for 14th place on the UK career list.  He has 1,517 career receiving yards, advancing to 11th on the UK all-time list.
  • LB Jamon Dumas-Johnson had a team-high-tying eight tackles and a 25-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
    • It is his second collegiate touchdown as he also had a 20-yard interception return for a TD vs. UAB in 2021.
  • DB Ty Bryant had a team-high-tying eight tackles.
  • DL Tre’vonn Rybka logged three tackles and a forced fumble.
  • LB J.J. Weaver had two tackles, including one tackle for loss (-4 yards) and had two quarterback hurries.
    • He has 38.5 tackles for loss, which is third all-time at UK. He needs just 2.5 more to tie for second in program history.
  • P Aidan Laros had a season-long, 66-yard punt.
  • K Alex Raynor went 0-of-1 on field goals and 2-of-2 on extra points.
    • His 33-yard field goal miss in the third quarter snapped his streak of 18 straight field goals, which set the school record and marked the sixth-longest streak in SEC history.
    • On the season, he moved to 15-of-16 on field goals and 24-of-25 on extra points.
