29 Wildcats Qualify for NCAA East First Rounds

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Track and Field program has qualified 29 Wildcats, 15 men and 14 women, for the NCAA Outdoor East First Rounds taking place at the Outdoor Track & Field Complex here in Lexington, Kentucky on May 22-25.

The East First Rounds feature the top 48 student-athletes in the eastern region in each event with the top 12 in each event qualifying for NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon. The rules are the same for the West First Rounds: the top 12 move on to Eugene.

Below is a list of student-athletes competing in the meet along with the events they qualified for. Combined events do not attend the preliminary meets. For combined events (Heptathlon and Decathlon), the top 24 declared student-athletes in each event based on their position on the national descending-order list will be accepted directly into the championships.
