HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. – Graduate student Marissa Wenzler shined with a 2-under round Wednesday as the University of Kentucky women’s golf team wrapped up play in the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, shooting a 14-over-par 298 in the final round to finish in a tie for 13th place with a 54-hole total of 24-over-par 876. She was solid on the first nine holes with two birdies and seven pars to help card the high score. For the tournament, Wenzler finished at 2-over-par 215 to record a top-20 showing in a tie for 19th.

After a double bogey to start the day, the junior settled in with nine pars in her next 10 holes, but followed that stretch with two double bogeys and a bogey.
