    • They’re tied for fourth place with the third-ranked team in the nation in No. 3 Florida.
    • Kentucky is just one shot out of contention of third place (currently No. 19 Mississippi State, which is playing on its home course) and five shots from second place (currently No. 20 Ole Miss).

First Round:

  • The Wildcats flirted with the lead just about the entire first round, until a rough patch in their final stretch plagued the lineup with five bogeys, four doubles and just two birdies on hole Nos. 16-18, dropping them back to T4 out of 17 teams.
  • Kentucky went just 1-over-par 289 to share fourth place with No. 25 Oklahoma State.
    • It is two shots off the top three and eight shots off team leader Ole Miss.
  • Two players rolled in at least five birdies in the first round – C.A. Carter and Isabella Johnson.
    • Carter’s five birdies came uninterrupted on hole Nos. 2, 5, 9, 10 and 11, with no bogeys in between.
  • C.A. Carter, a junior from Lexington, Kentucky, is leading the lineup for the first time through seven rounds this season.
    • She is 2-under-par 71 in a tie for sixth place, just two shots behind individual leader Virginia Tech’s Valentine Delon.
    • It is her fifth round of par-or-better – and her fourth straight – this season, second-most on the team.
  • Cathryn Brown, a senior from Eddyville, Kentucky, who always finds herself at the top of the leaderboard, went 1-under-par 71 for a share of eighth place.
    • She has went par-or-better every single round this season (7).
