UK Swim Camp: Racing Skills and Stroke Fundamentals of Fast Swimming

RACING SKILLS & STROKE FUNDAMENTALS OF FAST SWIMMING

Master advanced competitive racing skills & world-class stroke technique, in this unique swim camp setting! Learn from Coach Bret Lundgaard, Head Coach of University of Kentucky, and his staff, as they teach you the skills to take your swimming to a new level!

Coach Lundgaard and his staff have coached some of the world’s best including: multiple US and international Olympians, World Championship medalists, Division 1 NCAA Champions, Southeastern Conference (SEC), BIG 10, Ivy League, Mountain West, ACC Champions and US Olympic Trial qualifiers. Multiple coaches on staff have been selected as US National Team coaches.

This camp is a unique opportunity to learn, experience and begin to master these critical components of fast swimming:

-Turns – Everything inside the flags, where the race is won and lost…

-Starts – Begin each race ahead of your opponents…

-Underwater Travel – The fastest part of a race and newest aquatic weapon in swimming…

In addition, you’ll learn what the world’s best do in all 4 strokes: Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Freestyle, as you practice the fundamentals and the most impactful stroke techniques in our sport. You will learn stroke concepts that ensure your swimmer maximizes efficiency while increasing speed.

Coach Lundgaard and his staff are experienced teaching these concepts to a variety of skill levels. The concepts will be appropriately taught based on skillset and age.
