Johnson Chosen Fourth-Team All-America by The Sporting News: Junior defensive end Dennis Johnson has been named fourth-team All-America by The Sporting News.
Johnson led the Southeastern Conference in three defensive categories, including quarterback sacks (school record 12), tackles for loss (19), and fumbles caused (five). He had 61 total tackles for the season and added 12 quarterback hurries, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery.
Johnson already has been named third-team All-America by Football News magazine. He was a first-team All-SEC selection by The Associated Press.
Players Going Through Examinations: The Kentucky football team is in the process of going through the fall semester final examinations, which are being held Dec. 10-14.
After exams, the players return home for the Christmas break. Classes resume Wed. Jan. 9.
