Taylor McInnis of Virginia High School in Bristol, Va., has signed a national letter-of-intent to play baseball at the University of Kentucky, head coach Keith Madison announced today. McInnis hit .660 this season with seven home runs and 22 RBIs while leading his team to a state runner-up finish. As a sophomore, his team won the state championship. He is in contention for the Virginia High School Baseball Player of the Year award, announced at the end of June.

McInnis, an outfielder, was a four-year starter and three-time all-region selection. He was named district player of the year twice and region player of the year once. He will participate in the Virginia High School All-Star game in July.
