LEXINGTON, Ky. –Kentucky Swimming & Diving look to travel to Bloomington, Ind. to take on the No. 2/5 Indiana Hoosiers and No. 25/13 Southern California Trojans on Friday, with dive beginning and 1:30 p.m. and swimming at 2 p.m. ET. The Wildcats are coming off a full weekend in Atlanta at The Dual Meet Tournament, where they defeated Penn State, another Big Ten opponent.

The weekend at The Dual Meet Tournament began with the win over the Nittany Lions, but the Wildcats dropped two meets to SEC opponents No. 17/19 Auburn and South Carolina. All meets were close and there were many encouraging individual performances.

Among the individual performances was sophomore Falemana Tuufui of France, who reset his own program record in the 50 free with 18.89. That time is the fourth fastest in the nation so far this year.

Other performances that cracked the program’s top 10 list were Lysander Osman in the 100 fly (46.66), Gabrielle Idle-Beavers in the 100 breast (59.61), Katy Jost in the 200 free (1:46.15), Filippo Bertoni’s 500 free (4:18.05), Zea Wetzlaugk in the 50 free (22.51), and Hayden Penny in the 200 IM (1:58.49).

Avery Giese, a junior, has notched herself as a force on the diving boards so far this season alongside the aid of seniors Kristy Pfaff and Devynn Bishop as well.

The Wildcats have clearly already been tested this season, competing against some of the nation’s most talented collegiate teams. They hope to use this experience to their advantage as they take on two additional top 25 squads on Friday.

Live results can be found on the Meet Mobile App or here. Fans can stream the action live on BIG+.
