Wildcats Return Home, Host Evansville on Friday
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Wildcats (0-2-1) are set to return home for their next match on Friday night against the Evansville Aces (0-3-0) under the lights at the Bell Soccer Complex.
Kentucky faces Evansville for 12th time in program history on Friday night. Their previous meeting with the Aces came during the 2018 season, resulting in a 4-0 win for the Wildcats.
The Blue and White are seeking their first win of the 2026 season when Evansville comes to Lexington. Kentucky currently sits at 0-2-1 following a draw against Western Michigan, and a pair of defeats against Louisville and Virginia Tech.
Four different Wildcats have scored through the first three games of the season, including midfielder Yasha Schaerer and forwards Costa Iliadis, Tom Keller and Michael Lee. Iliadis also leads the team with two assists.
Evansville enters match day four coming off a 2-1 loss to the Northwestern Wildcats, dropping the Aces to 0-3-0 on the season through the opening two weeks of the season. Midfielder Pablo Calvete leads the team with two goals. He also leads the team with four points, four shots, two shots on goal and 270 minutes played.
Kickoff for Kentucky vs. Evansville is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, streaming live on ESPN+.
The promotion for Friday night’s match is youth camp reunion night, encouraging all UK men’s soccer youth campers to come out and support the Cats.
