Nic Anderson Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List

Kentucky wide receiver Nic Anderson has been named to the watch list for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, presented annually to college football’s top offensive player who fits the award criteria, it was announced Tuesday.

Anderson is a 6-foot-4, 208-pound wide receiver from Katy, Texas. He has totaled 51 receptions for 826 yards and 10 touchdowns in his career. He began his career at Oklahoma, where he set an OU freshman record with 10 receiving touchdowns in 2023. Anderson averaged more than 16 yards per reception during his breakout season.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award is presented annually to the nation’s outstanding Division I college offensive player who meets one or more of the following criteria: 1. Played football at and graduated from a Texas high school; or 2. Currently playing at a Texas Division I college. Anderson played prep football in his hometown of Katy, Texas.

The player must also exhibit the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell, including integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, community, and tenacity – specifically tenacity to persist and determination to overcome adversity and injury in pursuit of reaching goals.

Kentucky opens the 2026 season against Youngstown State on Sept. 5 at 1 p.m. ET in Kroger Field. The game will air live on SEC Network+.
