LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky women’s soccer team (1-0-0, 0-0-0 SEC) is set to return to The Bell Soccer Complex for their second match of the season as they take on Kent State. The match is set to begin at the Bell Soccer Complex in Lexington at 6 p.m. ET and will also be available to stream on the SEC Network + with Noah Frary and Gretchen Mills on the call.
Originally scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m., the match was moved to 6 p.m. Sunday evening due to high temperatures.
The match promotion includes Junior Wildcat Club and Youth Team Day, which calls all for the community’s youth to come out and support the Wildcats.
The Wildcats are coming off after a hot start to their season during the season opener against Detroit Mercy on Wednesday. Kentucky defeated Detroit Mercy 6-0, with goals being scored by five different student athletes.
Junior Lexi Tylenda, freshman Kyla Dawn, junior Juliette Rayo, and freshman Dani Chaump all notched one goal while senior transfer Nadia Ramadan sealed two on the night, both from the penalty kick marker. On the assists were Rayo, freshman Elle Price, and freshman Sydney Arendarczyk.
Kent State is coming off a season opening game on Thursday night when they defeated Cleveland State 3-0 at home. The Golden Flashes are coming off an 8-6-6 season record overall in 2025 and notched three goals with three different goalscorers in their first match this season.
The Wildcats are looking to close out the opening week of the season on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. They hope to move onto 2-0-0 before heading to Dayton for the first road match on Thursday, Aug. 20.
