Leighton Harris Named to SEC Community Service Team

Kentucky’s Leighton Harris has been named to the 2026 Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, it was announced Wednesday.

Harris, a sophomore left-handed pitcher, is a Lexington native with deep family ties to his hometown community service scene. Harris has continued to give back at UK and has long been involved with the Ronald McDonald House, children’s outreach across the state, a local veterinary clinic, reading at local schools, tornado relief, Christmas gift packing and God’s Pantry.

On the field, Harris has appeared in 19 games this season and earned his first career save in a victory at No. 10 Auburn, stranding the tying run at third base.
