Kentucky STUNT Finishes as Division I National Runner-Up

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Kentucky STUNT team finished as the national runner-up in the 2026 Division I College STUNT Nationals on Sunday at Allen Arena.

Kentucky set a program record for wins in a season, finishing with a 31-4 record. This was the fourth consecutive season that UK has finished as Division I runner-up.

Sunday began with a semifinal game against Cal Poly, which the Cats won 20-12. In the first quarter of that game, partner stunts, UK earned six points to Cal Poly’s two. Quarter two, pyramids and tosses, saw Kentucky earn four points, while Cal Poly claimed just one. UK led 10-3 at the half.

In the third quarter, jumps and tumbling, the Cats earned four points while the Mustangs claimed three. And in the final stanza, team routine, both teams earned six points to finish the game.

In the championship game, Kentucky faced five-time defending national champion California Baptist. In the first quarter, it was CBU taking five points to three for the Cats. In quarter two, the Cats clawed out five points, compared to just four for the Lancers. CBU led 9-8 at halftime.

The third quarter saw California Baptist take seven points, while Kentucky was held to four. That gave the Lancers a 16-12 lead after three periods. In the final stanza, CBU took 11 points, while Kentucky earned 10, making the final score 27-22.
