Ethan Hindle Named SEC Co-Player of the Week

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The most productive week of Kentucky infielder Ethan Hindle’s career has resulted in him being named co-Player of the Week by the Southeastern Conference, it was announced Monday.

The junior from Delafield, Wisconsin led the charge to UK’s 5-0 week over Eastern Kentucky and The Citadel as it races toward league play this weekend. Hindle batted .500 with a 1.958 OPS while slugging four home runs in five games, including each of the three against The Citadel over the weekend.

Hindle drove in at least two runs in all five games as the Cats scored 10 or more runs in four of them. He set or tied single-game career highs for runs, hits and RBI during the week and leads the Cats in runs, RBI and extra base hits this season. Fifteen of his 19 hits have gone for extra bases.
