Campbell Jr., Hindle Homer to Lead Kentucky to Run Rule Victory

Richmond, Ky – Scott Campbell Jr. blasted a grand slam, Ethan Hindle continued his extra base onslaught and No. 21 Kentucky put constant pressure on Eastern Kentucky in a 10-0 run rule victory on the front half of a home-and-home midweek series.

Campbell unloaded on a two-strike pitch, depositing it over the left field wall for a grad slam, the first home run of his UK career. Hindle followed an inning later with a no-doubt blast and later added an RBI double down the left field line as the UK offense cruised.

UK (10-2) kept the pressure on all evening, taking five hit by pitch and stealing five bases. Meanwhile, the Wildcat pitchers continue their run of excellence. UK has allowed two runs in the past four games and saw Tommy Skelding deliver 4.0 two-hit innings against the Colonels.
