Joshua Braun Accepts Invite to the East-West Shrine Bowl

Kentucky senior offensive lineman Joshua Braun has accepted an invitation to participate in the East-West Shrine Bowl, to be played Jan. 27, 2026, at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. He will join UK teammates Jager Burton, David Gusta and Kendrick Law in Frisco.

Kickoff is at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT (local) and the game will be televised on the NFL Network. Tickets can be purchased at ShrineBowl.com. A free Fan Fest will take place pre-game at The Star.

Braun, a 6-foot-6, 342-pounder from Live Oak, Florida, played offensive guard in 2025, his lone season at Kentucky. He previously played for Arkansas and Florida. Braun started all 12 games this past season, registering 31 knockdown blocks and yielding only 3.5 pressures on 831 snaps. The UK coaching staff rated him the team’s second-most effective offensive lineman.

For his career, Braun played in 62 career games and started the final 36. He was on the Senior Bowl Top 300 list this season.

The East-West Shrine Bowl is the longest-running college all-star football game in the nation. An important part of America’s football tradition, the event gives top college players a chance to showcase their talents to NFL scouts and a national television audience.

Braun becomes the 45th Wildcat to be invited to the event since Ray Correll and Steve Meilinger first participated in 1954.
