LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky swimming and diving Wildcats return to the Lancaster Aquatic Center on Friday and Saturday afternoon, taking on the Notre Dame Irish at 1 p.m. Friday and the Missouri Tigers on Saturday at 11 a.m.

This is the swim and dive Wildcats’ first appearance in the competition pool in the new year, and the hope is to start it off with lots of momentum. The last team competition before the holidays was back on Dec. 11 at Tennessee, where both the men’s and women’s teams fell to the top 10 ranked Volunteers.

Neither the Irish or Tigers have checked in the top 25 from December, which will be the first and second dual meets for the Cats against an unranked opponent this season.

With just a little over a month until the 2026 SEC Swimming and Diving Championship, the stage is set for the Wildcats to compete well this weekend. Seeing improving times and scores throughout the season so far, key returners like diver Avery Giese, and swimmers Grace Frericks, Carson Hick, Devin Naoroz, Levi Sandidge, and more will continue to be huge leaders in and out of the pool. The newcomers also have experience of their own at the halfway point in the season, including the freshman and school record holder, Falemana Tuufui who has been competing at an extremely high level in his first season with Kentucky.

Each of the dual meets this weekend is free admission for all fans at the Lancaster Aquatic Center. For those that cannot make it in person, both meets will stream on SEC Network+ and the results are available on the MeetMobile App.
