Hayden Dawahare Selected to SEC Community Service Team

Kentucky junior outside linebacker Hayden Dawahare has been selected to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, the conference announced Thursday.

Dawahare, a Lexington, Kentucky native, is one of the team’s leaders in community service hours with 114 hours logged. He currently serves as a mentor at Amachi Central Kentucky, an organization that serves children of incarcerated parents and has participated in several other community service projects, including helping run a lemonade stand for the Issac Sterett Adventure Foundation with all proceeds funding scholarships for kids to go to camp, college, etc. He participated in a bowling event with Big Brothers Big Sisters and gathered clothes and toys for kids in need for the Eastern Kentucky Christmas Project.

Additionally, Dawahare, has served as a guest speaker for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has volunteered at the Golisano Children’s at UK Hospital.

On the field, Dawahare saw action in 10 games this season and charted two tackles.

He is majoring in management and finance, with hopes to one day pursue a career in ministry.
