Kentucky Baseball Hosts Open Scrimmage, Exhibition Game

Big Blue Nation will have two opportunities to get an early look at the 2026 Kentucky baseball team in the coming weeks. Both events are free and open to the public at Kentucky Proud Park.

First, the Cats will have an intrasquad scrimmage at 6:45 p.m. ET on Friday, October 17. They will follow by closing the fall with their second exhibition game, this one at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 26 versus Morehead State.

Kentucky outscored West Virginia 26-10 over 14 innings on October 5 in its first fall exhibition. In that game, sophomores Tyler Bell and Ryan Schwartz each had five RBI.

Tickets are not needed for either event and seating will be open.

The Cats are entering their 10th season under head coach Nick Mingione and have won 293 games during his tenure, including a College World Series appearance in 2024. The program signed top 10 transfer portal and top 25 high school recruiting classes in the offseason.
