Wildcats Wrap Up Competition at ITA All-American Championships

TULSA, Okla. – Kentucky men’s tennis wrapped up play at the 2025 ITA All-American Championships with 21 victories across three stages and nine days of play. Three Wildcats participated in the singles main draw in the tournament, with Jack Loutit coming within one victory of qualifying to the 2025 NCAA Singles Championship.

Also in the main draw from Kentucky was Eli Stephenson—who led the team with seven singles wins on the week—and Antoine Ghibaudo.

No. 28 Loutit won his opening match of the tournament in come-from-behind fashion against No. 55 Alex Okonkwo of Ohio State before falling in three sets in the Round of 32 against No. 5 seed Ozan Baris of Michigan State.

However, Loutit’s run extended to the final day of the competition after winning four consolation matches. Loutit defeated a pair of ranked opponents—No. 99 Lucas Brown of Texas and No. 41 Alex Chang of Stanford—on Friday before receiving a walkover victory over Santiago Giamichelle of Georgia to advance to the consolation quarterfinals.

Loutit would pick up his best win of the tournament in this round, rolling over No. 15 Martin Borisiouk of NC State in straight sets to advance within one victory of a ticket to the 2025 NCAA Singles Championships in November.

10 NCAA bids were available at the ITA All-American Championships—eight for the main draw quarterfinalist and two for the consolation bracket finalists. With Loutit in the consolation semifinals, the Kiwi was on the precipice of advancing to the national tournament for the second straight season.

However, Loutit ultimately fell short as he was forced to retire from his match against No. 6 Kenta Miyoshi of Illinois on Sunday.

Stephenson put together one of the best weeks of his Kentucky career, compiling a 7-2 record after advancing to the main draw from pre-qualifying. The Louisville native, who entered the tournament with two career ranked singles victories, posted a 3-2 record against ranked opposition over his seven days of play.

After falling to No. 7 seed Dylan Dietrich of Virginia in the opening round of the main draw, Stephenson bounced back with a pair of victories over William Manning of NC State and No. 98 Keegan Rice of Virginia. The 2024 ITA All-American was ultimately eliminated from the tournament by No. 123 Jakub Vrba of Arkansas in a back-and-forth three set affair.

The Wildcats will return to action from October 9-14 at the 2025 ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships in West Lafayette, Indiana. NCAA Qualification will be available to the two singles finalists and the doubles champion.
