Eight Wildcats To Compete at ITA All-American Championships
TULSA, Okla. – Eight Wildcats are entered into the field at the annual ITA All-American Championships, taking place at the Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla. from September 20-28. The competition will serve as the first of four qualifying opportunities to the 2025 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships.
The tournament is divided into three draws—pre-qualifying, qualifying, and main draw—in both singles and doubles, with each stage of the tournament also featuring consolation match play. From Kentucky, Nicolas Arseneault, Mikael Arseneault, Martin Breysach, Charlelie Cosnet, Antoine Ghibaudo, Jack Loutit, Matt Rankin, and Eli Stephenson are entered into the tournament.
The event will begin with pre-qualifying on September 20 and 21, with 160 singles players and 32 doubles teams competing over three rounds for spots in the qualifying draw—20 available for singles and eight for doubles. Mikael Arseneault, Breysach, Cosnet, Rankin, and Stephenson will all open their singles tournaments in pre-qualifying, with Rankin featuring as the draw’s No. 14 seed. The lone Wildcat doubles pairing in pre-qualifying will be Nicolas Arseneault and Rankin, who enter the draw as the No. 1 seed.
Qualifying action will take place from September 22-23, with 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams fighting for the last available slots in the main draw. Qualifying play will feature two rounds and offer main draw placement to the 16 singles players and 8 eight doubles teams left standing. Starting singles play in the qualifying draw is Nicolas Arseneault, set to make his collegiate debut. Arseneault earned a preseason ITA singles ranking of No. 82 and was ranked as the country’s No. 5 newcomer. Two doubles teams—No. 36 Ghibaudo/Breysach and No. 37 Loutit/Stephenson—will begin their campaigns in the qualifying draw.
The marquee event of the tournament—the main draw—will kick off of September 24 and run until the conclusion of the tournament on September 28. 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams will fight for one of the most prestigious individual titles in college tennis, as well as spots at the 2025 NCAA Singles and Doubles Championships in Orlando, Fla. this November. No. 28 Loutit and No. 29 Ghibaudo both earned direct entry into the main draw by virtue of their ranking.
Qualification to NCAAs will be available to 10 singles players—the eight singles quarterfinals and two consolation bracket finalists— and four doubles teams—the four semifinalists. Athletes will also have the opportunity to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships at ITA Regional, ITA Sectional, and ITA Conference Masters tournaments throughout the fall.
