Jervontius “Bunchy” Stallings
- title Graduate Assistant/Defense
Former Kentucky standout Jervontius “Bunchy” Stallings is in his second season as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, where he works closely with the Wildcats’ defensive line.
In his first season in 2025, Stallings quickly made an impact with the defensive front, assisting defensive line coach Anwar Stewart. He was instrumental in the development of transfer defensive end Mi’Quise Humphrey-Grace who totaled 31 tackles and led the team in tackles for loss with 7.5 and sacks with 3.5. He also had a team-high six quarterback hurries.
Stallings lettered for Kentucky from 2016–18 as a key member of the famed “Big Blue Wall,” helping power one of the most productive rushing attacks in program history. He appeared in 41 career games with 26 starts and played a pivotal role in blocking for UK’s all-time leading rusher, Benny Snell Jr., who became the first player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons.
As a senior, Stallings earned First-Team All-America and First-Team All-SEC honors after paving the way for Snell and the Kentucky offense. He was also named to ESPN’s All-Bowl Team following a dominant performance in the Citrus Bowl, where he recorded two knockdown blocks and 22 blocks at the point of attack — including a hole-clearing block on Snell’s 12-yard touchdown run that broke Kentucky’s career rushing record.
Stallings graduated in December 2018 with a degree in community and leadership development before signing as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he spent two seasons at the professional level.
A native of McComb, Mississippi, Stallings is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports, fitness and recreational management at Kentucky.
