BIO

Former Kentucky standout Yusuf Corker is in his second season as a graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky, where he works closely with the Wildcats’ secondary.

In his first season as a graduate assistant in 2025, Corker played an integral role in the development of Kentucky’s defensive backs, assisting in weekly game preparation and on-field instruction as the Wildcats’ secondary continued to be a steady presence in SEC play.

A four-year contributor for the Cats from 2018–21, Corker developed into one of the program’s most dependable and respected defensive leaders. A two-time team captain, he appeared in 50 career games with 37 consecutive starts, totaling 240 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 14 pass breakups, three interceptions, two quarterback hurries, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble. He helped guide Kentucky to four straight bowl appearances during his career.

As a senior in 2021, Corker recorded 81 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack and eight pass breakups while earning semifinalist honors for the prestigious Lott IMPACT Trophy. The previous season, he garnered second-team All-SEC recognition from Pro Football Focus and Phil Steele after tallying 77 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Corker’s impact extended beyond the field. He earned recognition on the Dean’s List and the SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll before graduating with a degree in economics in May 2021.

Following his collegiate career, Corker signed as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants in April 2022 and later spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals before transitioning into coaching.

A native of McDonough, Georgia, Corker is married to Tarryn Todd-Long. The couple has three children, daughter Amirah and sons Yusuf and Emmaus.

He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in economics at Kentucky.
