LEXINGTON, Ky. – Cole Elmore, a former collegiate golfer and budding young coach from Salina, Kansas, has officially joined the Kentucky’s men’s golf staff as an assistant coach, head coach Gator Todd announced on Monday.

“We’re excited to add Cole to our staff,” Todd said. “He’s a high character guy that will add a ton of value to our student athletes on and off the course. He comes highly recommended, and we can’t wait for him to get started with our program.”

“I’m incredibly grateful to Coach Todd for the opportunity to join the University of Kentucky men’s golf staff,” Elmore said. “I’m excited to work alongside Coach Todd and Coach McDaniel and contribute to the continued success of this program. My fiancé Jen and I are thrilled to make the move to Lexington and become a part of the Wildcat community.”

Elmore spent the last two seasons serving as an assistant coach at Wichita State. The Shockers won two tournaments during Elmore’s tenure and were third at the American Athletic Conference Championship in 2024.

Prior to that, Elmore was a graduate assistant at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois for one season, helping the Cardinals finish fifth at their conference championship.

Elmore played collegiate golf at Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois where he graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Unmanned Aircraft Systems. He served as the team captain during his senior season and played an important role by working with the athletic director to keep the team running during a midseason coaching search. Elmore was a three-time Srixon/Cleveland Academic All-American during his time at Lewis and served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
