First Career Home Run is Grand for Ethan Hindle
Ethan Hindle hit a grand slam for his first collegiate home run as No. 23 Kentucky swept Hofstra with an 9-1 victory on Sunday at Kentucky Proud Park.
In UK’s eight consecutive victory and fifth this week it drew seven hit by pitch, seven walks and tied a 15-year old school record with eight stolen bases. First baseman Dylan Koontz tied the single game record for hit by pitch in getting hit each of his first three times to the plate.
UK (9-1) begins a second straight five-game week on Tuesday at Eastern Kentucky as the front end of a back-to-back day home-and-home series.
