Clara Strack Named Finalist for Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Clara Strack has been named a finalist for the Lisa Leslie Center of the Year Award, it was announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in partnership with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association on Friday.
Through 21 games season, she is averaging 15.5 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game, 2.9 assists per game, 2.3 blocks per game and 0.8 steals per game. The 6-5 center has knocked down 11 three-point field goals overall this season, while she is shooting 47.6 percent from the field in 2024-25.
In conference action alone – a conference that is new to her – she is averaging 14.8 points per game, 9.6 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game, 2.2 blocks per game and 0.9 steals per game. She has drained seven shots from the arc in conference action, while she is shooting 44.2 percent from the field.
Strack is third in the SEC in rebounds per game and first in the SEC in blocks per game.
The sophomore has turned in 10 double-doubles this season, the fourth most among league players in 2024-25.
She has put up at least 10 points in 18-of-21 games and at least 15 points in 12-of-21 games this season, while logging five 20-plus point games in Blue and White.
The Wildcat is much more than a scorer and rebounder though, dishing out multiple assists in 16 games, while she has blocked multiple shots in 14 games.
In Kentucky’s four ranked wins this season, she beats her averages, putting up 17.5 points per game, 11.0 rebounds per game, 2.7 assists per game and 1.8 blocks per game.
