University of Kentucky baseball player Mark Michael has been named a top-100 college prospect by Rivals100.com.
Michael, a sophomore pitcher for the Cats, recorded a 5-2 record in 22 appearances last season. The Lexington native posted a 4.10 ERA, third on the UK staff, during his freshman campaign. In 63.2 innings, Michael allowed only 29 earned runs and held opponents to a .261 batting average.
Michael was selected Kentucky Player of the Year as a senior in high school, going 14-0 and leading Lexington Catholic to the 1999 state championship.
