Kentucky Diving Alumna Kyndal Knight Earns Silver at USA Diving Winter National Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Alumna Kyndal Knight (Class of 2023) earned silver today at the 2024 USA Diving Winter National Championships in Bloomington, Indiana. Knight earned the medal in the 3-meter synchronized final alongside partner Anna Kwong of Texas Christian University scoring 497.70 points.

Knight records her highest career finish in the event and picks up her career second medal from the Winter National Championships. Knight, a native of Stanley, North Carolina, made her fifth appearance at the Winter National Championships this year. A veteran of the meet, Knight earned silver in 2019 with a second-place finish in the 1-meter final. Knight has finished fourth in the 3-meter synchronized final both in 2021 and 2023 and eighth in the 3-meter final in 2022. One of Kentucky’s most decorated divers in program history, Knight is a 10-time All-American and a member of the 2020 USA Diving High Performance Squad.

Knight will continue competition tomorrow with the women’s 1-meter prelims and final should she advance.

The USA Diving Winter National Championships are held from December 11-15 in Bloomington, Indiana on the campus of Indiana University. Attendance is free and the event will be live streamed on the USA Diving YouTube channel here.
