Men's Soccer
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Seniors Napo Matsoso and Jordan Wilson led Kentucky as first-team selections on the Conference USA Men’s Soccer Teams of the Year, which were announced Tuesday.
Kentucky had four players make the C-USA Teams of the Year as senior Charlie Reymann made the second team, and junior Alex Bumpus was named to the third team.
Connor Probert and J.J. Williams both made the C-USA All-Freshman Team.
Matsoso and Wilson both made the C-USA first team for the third year in a row.
Each of Kentucky’s four all-conference selections have been key members of the team in the season thus far, which has seen the Wildcats go through the regular season with a record of won 11, lost 4, drew 2 (5-3 C-USA).
The Matsoso file
Matsoso led UK in goals (eight) and points (20), ranking third in C-USA in points, and fourth in goals.
With eight goals and four assists, Matsoso’s had a hand in 48 percent of UK’s 25 goals this year.
Matsoso was a C-USA All-Freshman Team selection in 2013.
The Wilson file
Wilson has scored a career-high three goals, this season – including the winners against now-No. 5 Charlotte and Old Dominion.
He’s also been at the center of UK’s defense, which is ranked No. 10 nationally in goals-against average.

The Reymann file
Reymann was all-conference for the first time in his career.
In addition to playing an important role in Kentucky’s elite defense, he led the league in assists with seven.
The Bumpus file
Bumpus earned all-conference honors for the first time.
He has emerged over the past two years as an elite central defender, as evidenced by his contributions to Kentucky’s nine shutouts and top-10 statistical markers.

The Probert File
Probert scored two goals and two assists in his rookie campaign.
The kiwi scored an all-important equalizer to earn a draw with Ivy League title contender Dartmouth in September, and also scored in a win against ODU.
The Williams file
Williams has come on as his freshman season has progressed, earning starts in each of the last five matches.
He’s scored two goals, and assisted three this season.
No. 19/19 Kentucky will begin postseason against New Mexico in the first game of the first round of the 2016 Conference USA Men’s Soccer Tournament, Wednesday at Marshall’s Veteran’s Memorial Soccer Complex.
Kickoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET.
