Transfer Martin Breysach Joins Kentucky Men’s Tennis
LEXINGTON, Ky. – Kentucky men’s tennis and head coach Cedric Kauffmann announced the addition of transfer, Martin Breysach for the 2024-25 season on Thursday.
Breysach comes to Kentucky after two seasons at Baylor, the first of which he sat out to satisfy NCAA amateurism requirements. This past season, Breysach totaled a 13-7 singles record including a 5-1 mark in dual matches. Playing with a combination of doubles partners, Breysach posted a strong 13-8 record overall while going 4-4 during the spring season.
“I am excited about Martin being here,” Kauffmann said. “He is one of the best players in the country and will have a big impact on and off the court for us. We can’t wait to work with him and get going.”
A native of Strasbourg, France, Breysach reached a career-high ITF junior ranking of No. 19. He entered college with ATP points to his name, reaching ranks of No. 733 in singles and No. 347 in doubles. Breysach also represented France at the Junior Davis Cup.
